Beer Keg Policies

1. Bring your ID. Your actual ID.

Under our store policy, anyone buying or renting a keg or keg supplies from us must be 21 or older. The person picking up the keg must present their own current photo ID. Bring buddies along and we will card them, too, so make sure everyone has proper ID.

Accepted current photo ID includes:

• A state driver’s license.
• A state-issued non-driver photo ID.
• A U.S. military ID.
• A passport.

Your friend’s dad’s uncle’s cousin’s ID does not count. Neither do Scout’s honor, pinky swears, Social Security cards, or birth certificates. We admire the creativity. We still need the ID.

Florida’s alcohol age requirements are set out in Florida Statutes, section 562.11.

2. Your signature comes with responsibility

The person who signs and pays for the keg accepts responsibility for the keg and its related supplies. Make sure the people using the equipment understand how to use it and treat it with care.

Keep alcohol away from anyone under 21. If the mysterious party guest who “totally knows the host” wants a beer, that is your cue to check who is at the party, not hand over the tap.

We provide the keg. The guest list and responsible hosting are yours.

3. Deposits, rental time & bringing it back

The security deposit is $150 for a standard keg pump setup or $200 for a Guinness setup. These are security deposits, separate from the beer purchase price.

Our standard rental period is three days. Confirm the return or collection date, the equipment included, and your deposit arrangements when you book.

Return the keg, tap, bucket, and any other rented equipment by the agreed date. Need extra time? Contact us in advance; extensions depend on equipment availability and must be arranged with us.

We know the keg made you the most popular person at the party. Please resist the urge to adopt it.

4. Treat the equipment like the guest of honor

You are responsible for damage to, loss of, or breakage of the keg and rented supplies, including the tap and bucket. Treat everything with care and return all the items supplied with your rental.

Care, respect, gratitude, and admiration are all encouraged. Keeping our bucket as a souvenir is not.

5. No “half a keg, half a refund” deal

Once a keg leaves our store, we do not provide a store refund or exchange. This applies whether the keg is untapped or you have poured one beer, a quarter, or half of it. It also applies to home kegerator customers.

We cannot verify how a keg has been stored, whether it became warm, or whether beer was transferred into it after it left our care. The Keg King sells the kegs; we do not brew or package the beer.

Think there is a beer quality problem?

Contact us if the beer tastes unusual, seems flat, or something is not right. We will contact the local beer representative to review the concern. The representative will determine whether a return or exchange can be approved. A refund or exchange is not guaranteed.

We are on your side and will do our best to help resolve the issue. “This beer tastes like it came from another planet” is a reason to call us, not struggle through the rest of the keg.
